Cleaning Training Wales have developed this fully accredited 2-day training course for individuals or their respective companies who wish to raise levels of knowledge and understanding of carpet cleaning maintenance techniques.

It is also suitable for individuals who wish to start their own business or oganisations who wish to bring their carpet cleaning “in house” to reduce costs. The training consists of 9 Soft Floor Maintenance units (SFM) that cover all aspects of carpet cleaning techniques and 1 unit to cover upholstery cleaning.

The training content also covers Health and Safety issues such asChemical Competence, COSHH, Machine safe use and care, Safe Systems of Work and understanding the pH scale and the effects of acids and alkalines.

Unit SFM 05 - Proficiency in Low Moisture Carpet Cleaning Systems (Host Dry
Extraction Cleaning System)

Unit SFM 06 - Proficiency in Hot Water Extraction Systems.

Unit SFM 07 - Proficiency in salvage Treatments, (Combination Cleaning – Rotary
Brush Scrub / Extraction)

Unit SFM 08 - Proficiency in Cleaning Carpeted Stairwells utilising Hot Water
Extraction Systems

Unit SFM 09 - Proficiency in Wet Extraction Upholstery Cleaning
